In Honduras, in the heart of La Mosquitia, the Rio Platano Biosphere Reserve protects 350,000 hectares of dense and humid tropical mountain forests, coastal plains, wetlands, savannahs and coastal lagoons. This natural jewel also contains precious living cultures from diverse local and indigenous communities. They still maintain a close relationship with their natural environment, highly contributing to the biodiversity conservation.
