Coastal marine biocenoses
Aerial photographs make it possible to locate the limits of the main coastal marine biocenoses, down to about 32 ft (10 m) deep. The light and white areas usually correspond to sand expanses. The darker perimeters, on the other hand, can reflect various types of seabeds such as Posidonia seagrasses or litters, dead mattes, or algae populations clung on rocks.
