Each year, the Macaw Mountain team spends weeks maintaining the artificial nests that have been set up at specific sites in the heart of the Sacred Scarlet Macaw Valley. These nests are cleaned, repaired, then repositioned so that breeding pairs find them ready to welcome them. Macaw Mountain is delighted to see more and more pairs every year, and therefore the team regularly installs new artificial nests, thanks to the support of the communities of Copán Ruinas, Santa Rita and Cabañas.
