The French community of New Caledonia constitutes a set of islands and archipelagos, located in the Coral Sea and in the South Pacific Ocean. They have a great diversity of forms, some are inhabited, others are only simple like Ronhua or Petit Ténia Island, a motu in Saint Vincent Bay which are bound to disappear with the rising water levels and climate change. The Caledonian lagoons have been listed as World Heritage by Unesco since 2008.
