Bedroom of the Villa Majorelle

The bedroom of the Villa Majorelle contains its original furniture. It consists of a bed, a wardrobe, two dressers, and a bedside table. They were crafted from ash, with a veneer of the same essence and inlays of nacre and brass. The use of light wood is an exception in Louis Majorelle's production. The room's doors and joinery have a faux wood decor imitating pitch pine and were found during restoration. Stained-glass windows decorated with Pope's money embellish the two central doors and were reconstructed from old photos by the Bénédicte Lachéré workshop.
