Bavella needles, a geological landmark

In Corsica, spectacular sharped peaks with strange shapes cap the massif of Bavella linking Alta Rocca, a natural area located in the hinterland of Sartène, to the eastern coast of Corsica. These granite peaks have been shaped by a slow natural erosion for millions of years. The highest of the seven 'needles' of Bavella culminates at 6,086ft (1,855m) of altitude.
