The Municipal Baths of the city of Colmar, which were closed in 2003, have been completely refurbished by the Unterlinden Museum and transformed into an exhibition space. The swimming pool was filled in and covered with a parquet floor. With a ceiling height of 12 metres, the large hall is dedicated to temporary exhibitions. The skylight in the ceiling and the windows on the sides allow to play with the natural light. On the first floor, a connection has been created between the baths and the new wing named Ackerhof, after the former farmhouse of the Dominican convent.
