Madine Lake sits on top of Montsec Hill, not far from an American memorial from World War I. It extends between two valleys in the heart of the Woëvre plain. Thanks to an observatory and an ornithological discovery trail, hundreds of migratory and aquatic birds are observable on its banks. They are protected by Natura 2000, like the lake's flora consisting of reed beds, pondweeds, and forests. Madine Lake runs on reasoned tourism subject to the respect of its biodiversity.
