The so called Wat Phra Kaeo (temple of the emerald Bhudda) is part of the Grand Palace in Bangkok. The golden Phra Sri Rattana Chedi (golden thing on the left) is THE shrine for a relic of Bhudda and the heart of the Royal Palace. In front you'll see the the monumental library. The whole complex is the landmark of Bangkok and a MUST SEE. The whole complex extends over an area about 200.000 m2. So better plan a whole day to see the main attractions.
