Formerly crossed by transverse traffic lanes which delimited four esplanades, Nouméa's Place des Cocotiers today constitutes a homogeneous entirely pedestrian area. At its eastern end is Place Feillet centered on the bandstand (photo) and lined with large coconut trees. Vast and uncovered, it is used by bicycles, rollerblades and skateboards.
