School of trevallies

Trevallies are pelagic bony fish of the Carangidae family which live in the open sea as well as near the coast on steep reefs. Although physocline, they can quickly equalize their pressure by delivering gas from their swim bladder into their oesophagus. Fast-swimming predators thanks to their homocercal tail fin, they hunt fish larvae, small fish and small crustaceans in large schools above the reefs and in the open sea.
