A discreet tribute is paid in the Notre Dame-Sous-Terre church to Yves-Marie Froidevaux, chief curator of Mont-Saint-Michel between 1957 and 1983. Another commemorative plaque, affixed to the floor of one of the naves, marks the place where the human remains found during the restoration of the chapel in the 1960s were collected: “Here they rest in anticipation of the blessed resurrection the religious, prisoners, pilgrims and soldiers whose remains were found during the restoration of this abbey”.
