Obtaining bubbled glass can be done in different ways: by introducing grains of sodium, by using a pointed mold, or by avoiding refiners. The latter - in particular the sodium sulfate and sodium and potassium nitrates - facilitate, when heated, the elimination of gases from the chemical reactions linked to the melting of glass and promote its homogenization.
