The Verzenay mill was built on the Mount Bœuf in 1820 by the Tinot-Vincent couple. Two pairs of millstones and two buildings allow two categories of cereals to be ground simultaneously (wheat, barley, or rye). Since the restoration work undertaken in 1949, the Verzenay mill has been enthroned on its rocky spur overlooking the vine-covered hillsides, the Champagne plain and the village of Verzenay. It is the only surviving pivot windmill in the region and has retained some of its equipment (millstones, shaft, spinning wheel).
