Located on the southern coast of Martinique, Pointe des Salines has not escaped the tourist development of the island and, more particularly, of the Sainte-Anne peninsula of which it is part. The municipality of Sainte-Anne would indeed be the third most touristy in Martinique, with nearly 2.5 million visitors per year and 14% of the island stays. A restaurant has also been set up on Pointe des Salines, which marks the eastern end of the very busy Salines beach equipped with a 500-space car park and numerous pedestrian facilities.
