The creation of a perfume is a subtle assembly of multiple aromatic substances that are expressed in turn and are more or less persistent. The lightest and most volatile essences, often citrusy, make up the head note whose ephemeral intensity is immediately perceived. Then come the floral or spicy nuances - longer - of the heart note and those - late but persistent - woody, vanilla, musky, or amber of the substance note. Composed of the heaviest scent molecules, it is the one that gives the perfume its personality.
