Prefectural decrees

Located in a Natura 2000 protected area, the Tufs waterfall of Planches-près-Arbois in the Jura department has been the subject, since the end of 2020, of a draft prefectural decree intended to regulate its access. Faced with the tourist influx generated by the pandemic, a decree banning swimming, diving and picnics had already been taken on July 15, 2020. The latest draft text aims mainly to prohibit the entry of people and pets into the watercourse, in particular for taking selfies and other photographs, including in the tufa basin located in front of the waterfall and in the gours upstream and downstream.
