The flap-necked chameleon has opposable fingers and toes and a prehensile tail, perfectly adapted to its arboreal life. In continuity with its spine, its tail is covered with scales, and gradually becomes thinner. Very strong, it is also very solid. It provides the reptile security and balance as it moves on the branches.
