Entrusted with the adornment of Villa Majorelle's dining room, Francis Jourdain painted, among other things, a fresco composed of farm animals. It is more through colors than details that the turkeys, geese, piglets, and rabbits come to life. The artist excluded perspective from his sarabande to make it seem like a tapestry rather than a painting. Later, Louis Majorelle abandoned decorative painting in favor of more stylized furniture for the villa.
