Anhinga, a good diver

0
The Anhinga is an American aquatic bird. When swimming, its long neck held partially out of the water and makes it look like a snake, giving it its name meaning bird-snake. Unlike ducks, its feathers are not waterproof. They imbibe water, which prevents it from floating but allows it to dive deeper without effort to find prey. After feeding, it flies with difficulty to branches to sunbathe lengthily.
