L’anémone couronnée est une plante herbacée de la famille des Ranunculacées.
C’est une vivace répandue dans les pelouses, champs, oliveraies, vignes et cultures à l’abandon.
Elle est souvent cultivée. Il y a 2 types de cultivars : les anémones de Caen à fleurs simples (comme sur la photo) et les anémones St Brigid à fleurs doubles.
La fleur mesure 3 à 7 centimètres de diamètre.
