The Explorers' team visited the last ocher quarry operated in France and Europe by the Société des Ocres de France. The deposit extends at Devens Longs in Gargas while the production is processed in the Beaumes factory in Apt. In 2008, the Société des Ocres de France obtained the renewal for thirty years of its ocher extraction authorization with an approved volume limited to 41,010 cubic feet (12,500 cubic meters) per year.
