Thierry islet is one of the eight islets that occupy a total area of 168 acres (68 ha) in Le François in Martinique. It is located near Oscar islet, from which it is separated by the very touristy white sandy bottoms of the Baignoire de Joséphine (Josephine's Bath). This 37-acre (15 ha) star-shaped islet rises about 98 ft (30 m) above sea level. Its coarse volcanic rocks emanating from the eruptions of Oscar islet form cliffs to the north and east, whereas the small southern and western coves are separated from each other by moderately marked escarpments. Located 10 minutes by boat in calm waters from Le François, it is protected by a coral reef. Its landing pontoon is recognizable among all thanks to a coconut tree that stands alone in the middle of the white sandy bottoms. It leads to the only dwelling on the island built in the 19th century and transformed into a five-bedroom guest house.
