An interweaving of ropes

0
An interweaving of ropes is arranged everywhere along the via ferrata of the Tellure mining park. They allow safe progression through the former galleries dug by miners throughout the site's history. Ladders, metal hoops, and handles also emerge from the rocky walls. The Tellure park extends on the mine where many silver veins were discovered from the 13th century. Mining in the Val d'Argent began in the Middle Ages, but it was not until the late 15th century that it really took off. Thanks to innovative digging techniques, the Sainte-Marie-aux-Mines valley experienced unprecedented economic prosperity.
