Covering an area of nearly 178,000 hectares, the Haut-Jura Regional Nature Park is a rural but inhabited territory. It brings together one hundred and six member municipalities and seven gateway cities located on its periphery and representing as many areas of trade and employment. Its global population is estimated at 101,000 inhabitants. Its administrative headquarters and its Park House are based in Lajoux, which has the distinction of having two postal codes, one in the Ain department, the other in Jura.
