An impregnable rock
0
0
According to one legend, a vast forest originally stretched around Mont-Tombe (the first name of Mont-Saint-Michel). A divine storm is said to have swept away the trees and the sea, turning the mountain into a bitter rock surrounded by sand. Be that as it may, the various buildings of the citadel are all the result of an architectural and technical feat. This granite rock, intended to be impregnable, is impressive in its sheer size. One would think that only divine intervention could have made this possible.
