A resort residence of the presidents of the French Republic since 1968, the Fort de Brégançon houses many gifts received by the successive heads of state of the Fifth Republic. The residence notably houses a miniature gilded metal oasis offered by Saudi Arabia to François Hollande in 2013 and a mosaic from Carthage, offered by Tunisia to Valéry Giscard d'Estaing in 1975, which both decorate the entrance hall of the fort.
