Emmanuel Hondré studied at the National Conservatory of Music and Dance in Paris. The flutist perfected his musicology and obtained four first prizes. At the same time, he obtained a doctorate in musicology at the University of Tours. He began his career at the Cité de la Musique as a music editor, before being appointed head of the cultural service of the Musée de la Musique. After becoming production manager, he left the Cité de la Musique for the Salle Pleyel where he stayed for 9 years. When the Philharmonie de Paris opened in 2015, he became director of the concerts and shows department.
