An example of Normanization

0
The Trouville-sur-Mer Fish Market in the Calvados department was built on a reinforced concrete structure respecting the typical Neo-Norman style with half-timbering, bricks, and white Caen stones. Erected in 1936 by Maurice Vincent, a local architect, in association with the architects Marcel Davy and Maurice Halley, it testifies to the architectural policy of Normanization implemented by the mayor at the time, Fernand Moureaux, elected in 1934. Listed as a Historical Monument in 1992, the Fish Market was partially ravaged by a fire in 2006 and rebuilt identically.
