Èze is a French coastal village that was home to 2,225 inhabitants called Ézasques in 2018. Located in the Alpes-Maritimes department, southeast of the country, it suffered several invasions led by King Louis XIV, Saracens, or the Ottoman Empire of Suleiman the Magnificent. Èze and its area were the property of the dukes of Anjou-Provence and later Savoy before their definitive attachment to France in 1860.
