An entrance moved in the 19th century

Above Briançon, the door of the central tower of Fort des Salettes was moved during the modernization of the structure in the 19th century. Initially located on the second floor according to Vauban's plans, it was lowered to the level of the moat, where it is protected by a smaller moat and a drawbridge.
