An enduring horse raised outdoors

Recognized as a breed since 1978, the Camargue horse - which has the characteristics of both a good riding and working horse - is bred only in extensive breeding. Sober, handy, and very enduring, it is able to cover long distances daily (62 miles / 100 km per day at a speed of 4.3 mph or 7 km/h) as well as to resist long periods of abstinence and bad weather. Its reproduction is done in total freedom and its feeding on pasture, entirely outdoors, to preserve the hardiness of its breed.
