An east-west oriented arc
0
0
The island of Porquerolles forms an east-west oriented arc that stretches over 4.3 miles (7 km) between the Cap des Mèdes and the Langoustier peninsula. The island culminates at 465 ft (142 m) above sea level at its semaphore and comprises several hills and ridges, particularly at the Batterie des Medes, Col de la Galère, or Fort de la Repentance. It is also home to several cultivated valleys separated by heavily wooded areas.
