An autonomous and ecological hydraulic heritage
0
0
Installed on an area of 3,460 acres (1,400 ha) of grassland and woods in the Orne department, the Haras National du Pin has an autonomous and ecological hydraulic heritage essentially fed by the numerous and abundant springs of its meadows. Equipment - wells, washhouses, ponds, drains, etc. - as well as an autonomous water supply network of around 6.2 miles (10 km) have been built to channel the water. These facilities, which are regularly modernized, completed, and maintained, provide water for the stables, the accommodation (castle, infirmary, annexes, etc.) as well as for the estate's courtyards and gardens.
