The International Association of Friends of the Museum (AIAM) was created to bring together amateurs of vintage cars. Its members thoroughly restore vehicles for the Cité de l'Automobile and participate in numerous events on its motor-racing track. Their cooperation allows them to circle the circuit with the models they restored. Under the direction of the chief curator of the museum's collection, the AIAM participates several times a year in the dusting, cleaning, polishing of bodywork or the maintenance of leathers and textiles.
