With an €8.50 daily pass, cross-country skiing enthusiasts can take advantage of the 52 miles (85 km) of tracks of the Nordic ski area of Besse-Pertuyzat-Montchal. This marked, groomed, secure ski area exclusively dedicated to the practice of Nordic skiing – forbidden to pedestrians, snowshoes and dogs – has two green tracks (0.6 and 2.4 miles / 1 and 4.5 km), two blue tracks (2.4 and 5.5 miles / 4.5 and 9 km), one red track (9.3 miles / 15 km), one black track (6.8 miles / 11 km), a Nordic route (10.5 miles / 17 km) and a link route to Super-Besse (9.3 miles / 15 km).
