The Lérins Islands are part of the Baie et Cap d'Antibes - Îles de Lérins Natura 2000 site, particularly popular with boaters from the ports of the Juan and La Napoule gulfs. During the summer season of 2011, a daily average of more than 600 mooring units was recorded on the site, nearly half of which in the channel between the two main islands of Sainte-Marguerite and Saint-Honorat. The attendance on weekend days reached 1,000 boats at anchor. However, the Natura 2000 site does not comprise any port, except for a sheltered port reserved for the monks of the island of Saint-Honorat and an area of mooring docks for boats transporting visitors to Sainte-Marguerite Island.
