The Camargue bull or Raço di Biòu is used for Camargue races. This rustic breed grazes all year round outdoors and is bred exclusively for racing, but only the bravest, most agile, and fastest bulls will be able to enter the arena. Around the age of fifteen, the bull reaches the end of its career and retires from the herd. After its death, the animal is usually buried on its four legs, as in its lifetimes, with its head turned towards the sea.
