Present on the five continents, the Percheron horse benefits from international renown. This breed, known for its numerous qualities, has two different morphological types that participate in its richness. The "workhorse" and the "diligent" types both stand out for their poise, courage, and docile character. The origins of the Percheron go back to the Middle Ages through crosses between mares from the Perche region in France and Arab stallions brought back from the First Crusade. From its Arab blood, it has kept the quality of its gaits and its distinction.
