An agro-environmental approach
0
0
The domain of Château Léoube in Bormes-les-Mimosas is worked in biodynamics and organic farming as part of an agro-environmental approach. The principle consists in accompanying nature rather than constraining it, reducing pressure on the environment, respecting the well-being of each plant, and being attentive to the lunar and seasonal cycles. Weedkillers are banned on the estate, and only contact products are tolerated without systemic treatment of the vines. The soils are carefully worked to avoid evaporation, and the yields are monitored at each stage of planting, disbudding, and destemming. The density of the vines, which are 20-25 years old on average, is increased, and the harvests are exclusively manual.
