The Blacktip Shark (Carcharhinus limbatus) is a rather nocturnal predator of small bony fish (mullet, grouper, wrasse, surgeonfish), cephalopods (squid, octopus, cuttlefish) and crustaceans (shrimp, squill). It may occasionally consume carcasses, small sharks and rays or seabirds fallen from their nest into the water.
