The Black-winged Stilt (Himantopus himantopus) is a small wader with a black and white plumage without significant sexual dimorphism. The female is just more brownish than the male, in whom the black color is more intense and the juvenile lighter than the adult. Its wings are entirely black, and its neck is speckled with black. The Black-winged Stilt's underparts, collar, and head are white. Its eyes are red, its long legs and feet are reddish-pink, while its long, straight, thin bill is black.
