Alexandre-III bridge by night

Considered by Parisians as the most beautiful bridge in the capital, the Alexandre-III bridge bursts with lights at night. No less than thirty-two bronze candelabras, produced by the Lacarrière Delatour & Cie art foundry, illuminate the bridge. Among them, four candelabras are decorated with graceful cherubs sculpted by Henri-Désiré Gauquié (1858-1927). The straight perspective, created for the 1900 World Fair, leads to the Dôme des Invalides built under Louis XIV, the highest monument in Paris until the construction of the Eiffel Tower.
