0
The plumage of the Tawny eagle has different shades of brown. The darkest individuals are the most characteristic because of their beautiful tawny shade present in no other species of eagles. The flight feathers and the tail are blackish, stripes and light streaks adorn the wing covers. The back is paler down. The hooked and yellow beak is black in the end. The irises are brown, the bill is yellow with a black tip. Larger than males, females have a plumage identical to them while that of juveniles is less contrasted.
