The Valensole plateau is characterized by a strong representation of cultivated areas and more or less dense woodlands, largely influenced by the Mediterranean climate. The wooded formations occupy the edges of the plateau on the upper parts of which reign large areas of crops, especially lavender and cereals, but also some orchards of apple and almond trees and truffle oaks.
