Aerodynamic bird

The Common Crane (Grus grus) is a striking bird, with its tall stature and elegant stride when on the ground. Its ash-grey plumage, with bluish-black highlights on the primary and secondary remiges, gives this wading bird a majestic presence. These fairly long feathers cascade down the black truncated tail in a bun and “dance” when the bird moves. The Common Crane is fully extended when flying, with its neck stretched out and its long legs aligned. A truly aerodynamic bird.
