Calvi is one of the two main cities of Balagne, a region in the northwestern end of Corsica. It is located in the eponymous Gulf that extends from the tip of Revellata to the Punta di Spano. At the entrance to the Gulf, a proud citadel shelters the port and overlooks the wide bay.
