Among its numerous missions, Port-Cros National Park is responsible for administrating the National Mediterranean Botanical Conservatory of Porquerolles, created on February 15, 1979. Approved a national botanical conservatory in 1990, its field of competence extends to all the continental French Mediterranean regions like Provence or the French Riviera as well as Languedoc and Roussillon.
