Deputy for heritage preservation

Since 2020, as deputy for heritage preservation at the Saint-Dizier town hall, Elisabeth Robert-Dehaut remains committed to everything that concerns art and industry in her region. Archaeological excavations have been carried out every year since 2011 on the Crassées site in Saint-Dizier. In 2017, two iron-making furnaces were discovered near a Gallo-Roman necropolis. Archaeologists believe that they were in operation between 1100 and 1250. This is further evidence of the city’s long history of iron-making, which now specialises in art casting.
