Daytime activity of the black tip shark
Blacktip sharks' average lifespan is 10 to 12 years. Territorial, they can occupy the same area for several years, and especially during the gestation period of the females. During the day, they spend most of their time swimming quietly around the reefs and raiding into the sandbanks of the lagoons. Accustomed to shallow waters, they tan to protect themselves from the sun.
